The Keeper of the Akashic Record was exhausted. No, he couldn't necessarily be "exhausted" as in wanting sleep, but his vessel required him to sit down and "rest" himself. So, without thinking much on it, Ramiel had wandered into a coffee shop somewhere in New York and taken a seat. It was quieter than usual. New York, New York often was so busy that it was hard to maneuver at all in the city. Ramiel ventured a guess that it had to do something with it being near 3 am in the morning. Even then, it was unnatural for it to be without a decent crowd. It must've just been one of those strange nights figured the Archangel, who placed an order for a cup of hot Earl gray tea. The Archangel disliked the bitter taste of coffee.
When his tea came, Ramiel stirred the warm drink and breathed a sigh of relief. The warmth would soothe him. It was getting chilly outside if he did say so himself. Actually, Ramiel predicted a storm was soon to roll through. That was odd for this time of the year. Ramiel hadn't thought too much into it as he grabbed a tad bit of sugar and added it to his drink. There had been a lot of strange things going on as of late. His stirring momentarily paused as a solemn feeling swelled in his chest. The Archangel had formerly been a Watcher. He'd refused to Fall with his fellow brothers and sisters. It had almost been a shame seeing as he had been their 6th leader. Though, Ramiel had chosen to remain faithful to his other siblings and his Father. Falling was one of his worst fears.
Ramiel briefly wondered if the Watchers hated him. He did, after all, look after the very Record they wanted. That was reason enough to have their toes stepped on. It was unnerving that the first person they may very well come after was him. Whenever he thought of it he shuddered. The last thing he wanted was to see his angry, Fallen siblings again. He loved them, sure, but he did not want to face their wrath.
