Charlie’s a decent height at 6'2", and built solidly though on the thinner side. He has shaggy brown hair and brown eyes and a face that’s very average bordering a bit on ‘boy next door’. He has a thin mouth and tends to be sporting a day or two's worth of stubble. There's really nothing that's all that distinguishable about him.
He's usually found in work boots, jeans, tees or flannels - clothing appropriate to life on the farm, all of which is generally covered in dust or grime or worse.

Charlie is very naïve, it’s the only word for it. He has a very clear idea of what he thinks the world is and sees everyone as basically good. He’s loyal and hard working and very, very giving. There's no vanity about him, no cynicism. He's soft spoken and generally happy. In addition, he’s very dedicated to his mother and the small bit of land they have.

- Relationship: Erin Davis - Mother
[app]Overall History:[/app]
Donald and Erin Davis didn’t think they could have children, and gave up trying about a year before Erin came up pregnant, at 38. Just after her 39th birthday, Charlie was born and he was, according to his mother, perfect.
Don and Erin were simple people, running a Shetland sheep farm in Flagstaff, Arizona – both of them working the sheep and Erin selling equipment to those who wished to spin the fleece. It never had them rolling in riches, but they were happy, and they raised Charlie to be happy as well.
Charlie looked up to his father the way most little boys did, but it didn’t fade as he entered his teenaged years. As far as Charlie was concerned, his dad was flat out wise.
He watched both of his parents closely as he grew up, using their marriage for the basis of what he wanted (and still wants) when he got married. He loved the way they worked together, took care of one another.
He also loved the way they encouraged him, telling him he could do and be whatever he liked if he worked hard enough, a lesson he took to heart. He worked the farm with them as well as managing several extra curriculars and a high grade point average. All the work paid off when he was seventeen, learning that he’d been accepted into UC Berkeley. Two months before he was supposed to go, however, his father was taken by a sudden heart attack.
Charlie didn’t think twice about his decision. He canceled his plans and remained home, taking care of his mother, which he saw as his job now. He ran the farm and managed to grow it into a far more prosperous business, adding Alpacas and chickens to their beastiary as well as several gardens. He sells eggs, vegetables, herbs and fleece at local farmer’s markets and ignores his mother, who tells him she could take care of herself and he needed to pursue his own life.
For eight years he ignored her, because his dream was always to have the life his parents had, and he has that on the farm. Still, he’s finally bent to her pushing - and a small, niggling itch that's been cropping up every now and again - and has been taking a class at a time at Northern Arizona University for the last year or so.

Dawn was Charlie’s favorite time of day, there was a crispness on the air no matter what time of year. He’d tell anyone who listened that it was the anticipation for the coming day crackling in the air. Most people smiled in amusement, nodded to placate him and then moved the conversation along. Charlie never minded, he was used to people acting like that and he couldn’t fault them for seeing the world through far more jaded eyes. It did make him sad, however, that so many people missed the wonder of the world around him.
It had him smiling as he left the barn that morning, Jacko, their prize ram, following at his heels. Jacko had been lambed on their farm instead of bought in adulthood, and it was Charlie who’d helped bring him into the world. The ram’s mother hadn’t wanted anything to do with him, focusing on the ewe that was his twin instead. So Charlie had taken to bottle feeding and raising Jacko himself. A few weeks in he noticed the ram never wanted to eat, but was always happy for playing and cuddling and was thrilled to see the ram’s mother had finally taken over her job. Even so, the bond was formed and now Jacko followed him everywhere on his morning chores. This was fine with Charlie, as he was happy for the company.
”Gonna be a good day, Jackie,” Charlie said, looking out over the first pasture and the sheep lounging there, still working their way to greet the day. “I can feel it.”
Jacko didn’t have much to say, he was too busy nibbling at the hem of his jeans.
“Okay, okay,” Charlie laughed, “I’ll get on the feed. Impatience isn’t a virtue, you know.”
