The particular demon the man turned into had a charm about him. He isn't always a woman's cup of tea, his blue eyes seem almost innocent. He doesn't look as if he's flooding with testosterone as he has a full head of hair and none on his chest. Some people have gone as far to call him pretty boy not knowing the actual demeanor underneath. To 'toughen' him up, Roman chooses to allow his facial hair to be a bit unkempt but never a hair out of place. He doesn't stand there in the mirror obsessing about how he looks, worried that it won't make the girls moist. In the end, it's hard not to look good when he has stains of innocent blood splattered about his face.
He always looks relaxed, calm, and cool. He doesn't stand as if he's ready for a fight but rather he looks as if he is waiting to be approached. With thousands of years underneath his belt, it's taken practice to look this nonchalant when every urge in his body is to rip the humans to shreds. He prefers the darker colors when dressed, the linens soft. In Hell they do not get to wear clothes, he likes the way they feel against his unburnt flesh.

Roman is the complete opposite of what a demon is on the outside. His 'person' personality is charming and chill. He always has a smirk on his face because he's the only one in on the joke. He flirts, he charms, he manipulates. He seems like that guy you would possibly want to take to meet the parents but he's definitely the guy a girl wants to take home for the night. Even as a human, Roman loved to indulge himself in sex. He truly thinks that a woman's body is beautiful. Every curve, every dimple, their skin soft to the touch. He's a demon and he indulges himself in as much sin as he can.
To the core of the demon, he is a sadist. Even though every woman is beautiful, it doesn't mean he doesn't imagine their bodies hanging from hooks in his parlor room-- not that it's his first choice of decoration. He prefers to not have the eyes of the victim facing him. There is something about that dead look that bothers him to this day. He's reminded of his brother, the first murder in human history. Though what he did was a sin, it was still his brother and in the end he did regret what he had done.
Abel is a sore subject. It shakes him to the core. The murder, his face, everything about the event he remembers in complete detail. If a person were wise, when they know who he really is, they would do well to say nothing. His rage boils, his shame. He will mark the target and stop at nothing until they are another body being buried. He holds grudges and he doesn't stop. He's ruthless and will play mind games just to drive a person into their own madness. Being around for as long as he has, Roman has no problem tearing people apart.

Roman's history is one of the most famous stories in history. The man was the first child of Adam and Eve, the first child born onto this Earth, the first man to commit murder. He was happy until that point. He tended to the grounds while his brother herded the animals. They gave their offerings and made their parents happy. But from the start there had been something Roman could tell wasn't quite fair. His fair haired brother, Abel, was the one their parents favored. He felt God, their creature, liked him more as well. Roman couldn't understand how his brother was better than him. What was it? He began to tend the fields day and night, tend to his body. He wanted to be loved the way his brother was loved. But he didn't know it was the sin that had already begun to creep inside of him that caused him to become the black sheep.
Roman felt insignificant, betrayed, and angered when God accepted the brother's offerings. There was favoritism as far as the eye could see in his view. He led Abel away from home later that night and murdered him in cold blood. The first Son of Adam caused an innocent to be murdered. Sin was alive and pulsing through his veins. No more will his brother receive the praises, they were to be his now. But what happens once his parents and God notices Abel is missing? Roman hadn't thought that one through. He returned alone and was confronted. He claimed he wasn't his brother's keeper and lied to God. A curse was placed upon him that whoever killed Roman was to suffer sevenfold. He wandered the Earth for years. His footprints had been all throughout Europe and Asia until he died in the same year his father, Adam, died.
His soul was twisted at that point with sin and evil. Not long after Roman began his wandering he made a promise a demon. The Murderer sold his soul so that his body remained on Earth while his soul was taken to Hell. Inside there was nothing. He walked about the world with no light in his eye, no jump in his step. He had become a Zombie. The urge to kill was there, the urge for sin controlled him when there were finally people around. The demon that possessed Roman's meat suit had been exorcised and the house he lived in came trampling down upon him.
His time in Hell was spent in torture for the first 500 years on Earth. He was put on the rack everyday and with a club the demons would beat and beat and beat until he had no flesh left to beat off. But in Hell, no one dies. His muscles would be hanging on, parts of his skeleton exposed, until finally they'd bash his brains in and the process was started a new. After he served his sentence, Roman was taken off. He began practicing downstairs how to torture people. Physically that was no problem. He was interested in mentally. Everyday for 1,000 years on Earth, Roman would tweak and tweak until it was just right. He had taught himself the 'touch of Insanity'. When he so willed, Roman was able to induce a sense of helplessness in the beginning. It was like a virus that ate it's way through the brain. The infected would feel as if they needed him, all restrictions were off, they would eventually give in to the madness and break completely. Imagine being stuffed into a black room, no windows, no doors, and the walls began to close in on you. The entire time whispers of their fears, lies, anger will breathe their way into the infected that way he has them where he wants them.
He remained in Hell until the Winchesters opened the Devil's Gate with the hunters, Bobby and Ellen years back. He escaped and kept a low profile. He settled out in the country, his house large and spacious as if to show God he's back. The ground is dead all around him, the curse still intact about the ground will not produce a single thing if he were to tend to it. Given the recent near-apocalypse Roman has begun to be interested in getting out, seeing the world. He heard Angels were on the ground for a while now. But where was God?
